I'll break mines down
>160k salary
>Take home 5k a month
Where does the rest go? 401k, health plans, company stock purchase (10% discount so easy to profit), and ofc tax rape. Life is hard. Salary doesn't scale well (but promotions/job change scale very well)

Don't worry OP, it sucks now but you'll pass the tipping point before you know it and you'll be FIRE with very low expenses. Plus with crypto you know there's an insanely good bull market every few years so as long as you're frugal, your stack will grow faster than you spend it down.

It's mathematically impossible for me to run out of money at this point. Crypto will continue to appreciate and grow even as I continue to spend $1k/mo.

And if I do run out of money? I'll just get a job. Nobody really gives a shit about resume gaps, especially when you have hiring preference for the federal government. But I don't think it'll come to that.

I feel super fucking stressed working for my current company. Honestly its up to us to rise up, maybe you get lucky with crypto but if your a degen and retarded you lose it all and go back in to wage mode.

How are you living on $1k/month? Roommates/parents?
I pay $3300 month right now but I could cut it down to $900/month if I had no rent or food costs.

Seems pretty scary to not work while drawing down mid 6 figures, I'm at 330k networth, no debts, paid off car. and while I could live off of it for 8-10 years before hitting $0 savings, if that happened it would mean starting at ground zero again. Seems easier/safer to make money when you're not drawing down your investments.
I have been tempted to quit my job and just retire to thailand or some cheap country though. I could live off $1k/month there and still live a decent lifestyle, but I'd be cutting it close between inflation and market instability.
Who am I kidding though, I'll probably just keep buying and holding crypto for another few years until my networth hits 1.5mil and retire here.

I put away about 3k per month and I'm feeling desperate and unsettled by it too. It feels like nothing. Lucky for me the only expense I have is gas (almost 40 m/gal) and rent. Saving 3k per month feels the way OP conveys in his image, it's nothing.
