no the point of tipping is so the employees remember you so they treat you better on successive visits. I tipped the cute enby barista at my local Starbs 5 bucks the first time I went in and now she always remembers me and prioritizes my orders and even sometimes gives me abandoned mobile orders for free. I'm a Britbong and I've never heard of anyone doing that, but then I'm an autist so maybe I missed something.
But if I have to go to the bar and ask for a drink and then take it back to my table, I don't see what deserves a tip. All you did is pull the tap, which you only did because I'm not allowed to do it myself.
If you came to my table and took my order and then brought it to me, that would be a tipping scenario. But making me do most of the work - that doesn't merit any more than the base price of the drink.
As mentioned, I'm an autist, so I guarantee I've spent a lot of time analysing this situation and coming to this indisputable rational conclusion.
