Then there's the certifications you routinely have to take or renew, and the stuff you're supposed to know but you did years ago so you have to pick it up again. I have no clue how some people are hyper efficient with their time or work 2 jobs on the regular without succumbing to exhaustion. Sometimes I'm just fucking tired from regular work and want to relax. Sometimes work takes up more than just 8 hours well past midnight straight to 5 AM. Sometimes my body just wont listen to me unless I've rested for 10 hours on the weekends. What is this efficiency bullshit looking to turn people into machines.

This take doesn't even consider if you have a house, car, pets, kids, etc... You have to maintain and care for them, which ends up taking most of your free time. Also, how is it fucking possible 33,900 people can't do fucking basic goddam math. Motherfucker, it's 16 hours, you get 8 hours of in-between time. Which is also a lie depending on the workplace, since you may have a lunch break period depending on your employer. Meaning 9 hours of your time are spent at an office, and from my experience, most staff work through lunch.

Barring a 9 hour work day, you may spend:
1 hour for the morning commute (longer if you live far away/ have to drop kids off)
1 hour for the evening commute (longer for same reason above)

Assuming you're prepping meals, showering and cleaning on the daily that's 1 - 2 extra hours

You end up with 4 to 5 hours of "free" time to pursue a hobby or focus on yourself, assuming everything goes well that day. What kind of dystopian thought process possesses these people.
