Because poverty at the level it is in the modern age is systemic and not normal. Companies are forcing everybody to buy more expensive products because they make more money than cheaper stuff (i.e. pickup trucks vs sedans or monthly subscriptions vs normal products). the failing of using suicide to run from what's ultimately a mental state, (very very very most often) is that you take your mind with you (even if it ends up being quickly subjected to healing)
i am fairly confident it's possible to end one's own life in such a way that very little to no baggage is brought with one, but if you've managed to land yourself in a hole it's better to find a way out of it and learn from the matter as opposed to just noping out while still at the bottom and making the same mistakes again in another life that just plants you in another hole because you chose not to ride it out and learn the first time around
