Damn that X360 interface is so cozy. My last console. There has been virtually no technological advancement in video games since that generation besides shit that nobody cares about like nicer shadows and ray tracing .
I remember living the technological advancement in real time from GTA SA to assassins creed(3 years) or gta 4(3.5 years) - the difference is night and day in graphics/realism in just a 3 year period- and thinking we’d definitely have fully realistic physics/photo realism by the mid 2010s. Little did I know that that was the end

In every way, yes. 2 was amazing but 3 was pretty much the perfect game for its time. Absolute peak of the series and it's all been downhill from there. I did enjoy Reach tho.

You have to realize how bad things can get before you realize what makes you happy and what doesn't.
Stuggling and waiting everyday for things to get better is a suicidal nightmare I wouldn't even wish on the worst kikes.

>> No.54137421

No. There's a breaking point though where you go from unhappy to relaxed and content when a economically stable base is achieved if you know you can live 10 years without work. After that more money is relatively irrelevant for happiness because it is achieved by other means. But at least you get out of the depressing wagecuck loop.

A lot happier than not having money. I have had little money, then had a lot of money, then had a little money again, and now I have a lot of money again. I am intimately acquainted with both lifestyles. When I had little and something went wrong, I was stuck. I can't even begin to explain the powerlessness. You just sit in the fire and burn. With money, you have options on almost everything. You can't get away from the really serious stuff, but no one can. The optional shit you have to suffer is what really makes for a fucking miserable experience in life. With money, any of that optional shit that comes up you can just be like "nah, no thanks, I'm out, fuck you." And everyone and everything around you just has to nervously look around and be like "heh...heh...can he do that...? hehehehe." Because that's how everyone works in the modern slave system. Everyone is attached to everyone, so everyone is playing a game of "how can I get everyone around me to serve me, especially the people better than me?" When you can just tell all of those people to go fuck themselves and legitimately just go lay in a field while they watch and stomp their feet, that to me is freedom and that's what money affords you the ability to do. There are some extra issues that come with having money like the requirement to regulate the living shit out of your time and especially who you associate with (people who cost you $10 start to scale and cost you $1,000), but it pales in comparison to all of the advantages. So yea, it makes you happier in all normal scenarios.

to a point. i am seeing dimishing returns and i dont even have much money in the grand scheme of things. 10/hr to 50k/yr was life changing and allowed me to live independently, 50k/yr to 100k/yr allowed me to save money and invest, 100k/yr to 150k/yr allowed me to take some more vacations & upgrade my lifestyle, and 150k/yr to 200k/yr has basically helped me invest & save more. i am on track for maybe 225k/yr+ this year and really again the only thing different i can think of doing is saving & investing more and trying to travel more. i have pretty simple tastes (spend 3-4k/mo usually only) and i don't have a desire to live on a yacht or in a mansion (literally don't care) so i'd say i stopped seeing really really meaningful changes around the 150k/yr mark. housing is prohibitively expensive still (unless i move somewhere else), but again, honestly i don't really care and i still plow my money into other investments. i dont know what i'd really get from a house, it wouldn't bring me joy atm.

From being literally poor up to being "comfortable", which just means some kind of very average income, yes probably.

Beyond that, no, almost never.

fwiw as an adult my NW has ranged from negative (i.e. in debt) up to mid 8 figures. The best years of my life were when I was earning a normal "slightly above average" amount each month and had like 50k of assets.

That's largely down to other lifestyle factors, but they are no longer accessible You can't go back in time, or be younger again.

Another thing to consider is that when Halo 2 came out it had no competition. It lived up to the hype after years of marketing. Everyone you knew signed up for Xbox Live specifically to play it and the social experience was simply unmatched and can never be replicated. As an anon said even the glitches were fun and became an integral part of the game. I can’t tell you how many hours I spent in custom games with friends climbing buildings in New Mombasa using that sword jump glitch. It was the only game anyone played for over a year. By the time Halo 3 came out the Xbox Live user base was already fractionalized by CoD2 and Gears of War.
