85% are a cash grab scam. I literally spend like 2k on nfts. Non have actual use or value. I even have the 2018 Dodgers NFT bobblehead which is literally one of the first NFTs given irl and it has no worth. In reality it should be worth like 10k since it's a relic and backed by the MLB.

99% of the space is blatant scams, an extra .99 for legit projects that may as well of been scams due to manipulation, exploits, or business failure.
the govt does not need to discredit crypto the scams speak for it well.

Plus most people, including govt authorities, don't understand crypto at a low ELI5 level. so the govt wouldnt even be able to justify mitigating its risk of people actually using it instead of USD.
