I don't know, but probably depends on whether some of these BRICS nations decide to develop in the field of technology, seems as if most of the worldwide presence that G7 is related to that and that there's a lot of importance in it. BRICS have more natural resources but not a lot of specific expertise, apart from China. Geopolitics is a mess, you can't say for sure what will happen in the future as it depends a lot on many different things, but the field of technology in some of these countries are lacking right now and some of them have a lot of industries to use their natural resources, many of them don't go beyond extracting instead of developing something though so there's that too.

Back in October the US forced all US citizens working in China in the semiconductor industry to either quit their jobs in China or lose their citizenship which led to hundreds of Americans engineers (who were recruited and hired in China for a reason) leaving their jobs in that industry for China. Then you have entities like ASML who produces some top of the line equipment necessary for chip production who aren't selling to China anymore. Yeah China can do their best at IP theft, but the supply chains needed to make those things don't exist in China and will take time to actually get going

It's the main thing which sets some countries apart from others.
Thing is, there's right now a huge gap between developing countries and their technologies, and technology in the first world, and the way it seems to me right now, this gap will continue existing in the future as well and may get even bigger than it is today. There's just no way for them to catch up to the first world, the only way it could happen would be if there were to be a point of complete stagnation in technological progress in the west, and even in that very specific case it would take time and be hard to catch up.
