Yup. I'm 32. 5 years ago i was sending tens of bartender/server applications, zero responses. I went to an interview to be a shitty security guy, not hired. Studied java for 2 months. Got hired for 1500€/month (average salary here). One year ago i changed company, now make 40k/year net from it (top 5% in my country) + 1k/month from a shitty game i released for android.

Compared to the start i'm living the dream, but it's definitely not enough. Trying to have a second app going, when i'll make enough from them i'll leave my main job and do that i think.
