People who are under 30 and earn 100k+, wtf do you do?

I just want to know I'm curious.
I've worked in many different high end jobs, and the only ones earning that much were older people, with like 20 years of experience.

Set rates for a gov monopoly. Started off rough though, $58k in DC with no wfh days was basically slavery.

After 5 years, $106k and have a 10 minute commute 2x a week to a satellite office in the heartland, much comfier.

If I wanted to I could bump it up to $140k by becoming a manager, but I'd have to move back to that shithole and it's not worth it.

Once I pay off my house I'll fuck around job hopping, but fed job security is hard to give up.

Meetings are gay, I have a monthly meeting with my office of 12 people and a quarterly one with a bigger group. I have a weekly stand up that always gets cancelled if there's no problems, I usually just take care of whatever needs doing before the boomers start the call and start delegating every small task.

Cybersecurity - hit $100k+ at 27. It was a few years before Covid and it was a jump from $60k to $130k. The position has to be in office and probably pays $175k/yr now with all the WFH options.

Yeah, they dropped the mandate entirely. But make sure you get a remote work agreement, not just a teleworking agreement. If you are just 'teleworking' they can force you back to the office if they want to.
