It's one of the downsides of the group becoming bigger and bigger. But even when it had only 30 members, inflated daily message count was a problem which made us decide to create the announcement/research channel, with hopes of only saving the relevant and/or big news tier stuff that everyone shouldn't miss out on, like airdrops or security issues, and "effort posts".
My reasoning for saving effort posts was basically:
The message might have been written to promote his bags, but the intent and investment put in to be informative (thus giving you more data to remain neutral and make decisions on your own) is better compared to obvious "next 100x, pump my bags" kind of messages.
However, this can easily backfire when things dump or go wrong from where the token has been mentioned. Muh research and effort cannot change the nature of crypto that is shilling bags, insider pumps on shitcoins, and members/anons thinking that "if it's in the announcement channel or posted by an admin tag it must be a guaranteed and good investment".
(There are people who, even since the beginning, believed this. THIS is the real major issue explaining why we have to tiptoe a fuckton and think more than twice before posting anything.)
Bringing me to answer your next point:

Repeating myself, but even when the group was small, there are two things we tried to avoid as much as possible, unironically:
-turning CryptoClownClub in a PnD group and making members become exit liquidity, killing all the good faith we have tried to establish since day 1
-helping scammers and ruggers make money
This is why most if not all pins in the chat are "after the fact", because they are mainly written to celebrate rather than promote.

We also slowly stopped considering neutral research posts from projects we found (like the early arbitrum/Camelot sales stuff, the "green flags/red flags") mainly because they ended up not really being worth the word salad and effort put in their research compared to absolute shitcoins who pumped faster and harder, (some were outright dumps) but also because of the influence such posts had on certain members to begin with, referring to people sometimes buying with size or taking unnecessary risks. Same goes with the effort posts coming from members - case in point, there are people who right now thought that the last pinned message was paid shilling or "pump my bags/ref link" tier despite being well articulated. So it's not really motivating us to start again.
This is why we started to prioritize more direct ways to offer value to members via the channel while remaining as neutral as possible with WL spots for hyped projects (MuratiAI, and maybe the zksync rug eZkalibur) and airdrops when devs need eyes on their rugs (labraIol, trollface).
But in case of WL spots, as most people saw ITT, I was sometimes required to be less neutral and nuanced than I would've liked when writing the posts, leading us to constantly remind people that the only value behind such tokens is the hype and the ability to buy the presale while whitelisted, and that there was almost 0 gain to be made considering the project for its utility or trying to buy launch.

There are a lot of other smaller reasons and fears behind this "lack of coordination" but I hope that I have provided you with a valid explanation as to why. A generous dev made a bot to try and encourage people to save only the tokens they think will do good so it could be displayed in a shill list for 24 hours, but its reliability remains to be proven.

The platforms are different. Just like you said, depending on what website used to write behavior and patterns will differ because of the way things look or character limits to make a message look good. Imageboards are better for slow-paced discussion meanwhile group chats are more suited for fast-food tier shitcoin action.
In my opinion, samefagging and obvious alt use with malicious intent is far easier to detect on telegram/trannycord than on /biz/, for instance.

For any decent community, it is necessary. Even outside of crypto. We try to be open and accept everyone regardless of net worth, race or sexual inclinations for instance (hmm maybe not kek we did have to tone down gay and /pol/ posting a little), but obvious jeet shills get canned, same goes for "devs".
