To be fair, you're ignoring the huge amount of link fud, if we are being objective about this, we must admit that there is a pretty low sentiment on Link both here and on twitter (where sentiment has been historically insanely bullish). I was in to NXT pretty hardcore from 2013-2015.
I've always been into the idea of PoS.
Sergey operated a front end for the dex(think like uniswap.org or something, but the dex itself was lower level than uni contracts would be).
It's possible he was rugging tokens via that, but it's hard to really say either way.
There were a bunch of people around in NXT. CfB who made Iota.
jl777 who I think might have made Komodo or something(not entirely sure but he was working on something with that name at some point).
Lots of people really. Not just Sergey.
It was kinda sketchy overall, but if anything I'd say it's less sketchy than what goes on today with link(imo - the amount extracted is absurd). Back then everyone was pretty poor and I remember how big of a deal it was just to pay one guy like 90k euro salary to do the frontend work on jl777's old Supernet(basically probably the first 'real' DAO?) idea. Today that would be laughable compared to the literal billions that get dumped on people.
