Thankfully i wont have to pay any rent since we are accommodated by one of the friends and his house is quite spacious. And it's another friend who will pick me up with his car so no problem on this side too.
But only 550-600 bux (hopefully 800 by then) will be super tight for a week.
And i know those fuckers since i'm 10, they all somehow managed to leave their wives and kids behind for the week, and when their roasties are away.. cash is like molten lava through their pockets, they will spend 200€/ea a day in coke, ecstasy and liquors at fancy places alone...

Feel you bro. Usually i decline pretexting bad health, and when i want to go on vacation i put my lava lamp on yellow, put my sunglasses and launch google street views in the places i want to visit.
Then i scroll for few hours in the locations of interest. Last time it was Peru : the Lima plateau, Caral pyramids, mountains in the clouds.. pretty comfy.
It will be my first real vacations since few years.

The interest rate on your loan is designed to screw you out of that happening. You could still get that result if inflation goes well beyond what that interest rate accounts for, but that requires crazy high inflation, your loan terms/regional law not allowing the rate to be changed for any reason, and TPTB not flipping the table and raising the interest rate or redefining your principal anyway. At the same time, the value of your house may increase as well and you have the option to refinance later, however. Tons to think about.

You can still just play the game and ultimately do okay even if the can is kicked another generation down the road, but rates are especially shit right now. Owning anything you can is probably still a good idea if you can afford it long-term, but your timing may not be favorable.

As far as I understand it, there's two models:
flexible rate (which now is fucking over quite a lot of people, who signed up for 0% financing (which now is much higher…)) and a fixed rate, which never was 0, but can't be changed. Sure, it's taking longer than we all expected i think, but i would be very surprised if they manage to keep it suppressed for another decade. Even half this timeframe seems like a stretch.
If i'm wrong i'll gladly apologize, but i doubt it.
That said, when we started to go after silver, we knew we were going after the big fish, we knew the rigging game was in the hands of JPMorgan, literally the most powerful bank in the world.
Either by self delusion of grandeur or by under estimating the opponent, they proved to be way more resilient than we initially expected, but it doesn't mean things can't change.
At some point it may also be in (((their))) favor to let silver go up, and once it happen, the accumulation window will already be shut down for good.

Don't buy 100 oz silver unless you are prepared to either melt it down and cast jewelry/silverware at 1/2 to 1 oz weights, or chop off sections into weigh-by-scale places for goods and services. Let's say your in the united states, it's possible for the government to go after bullion and fed minted non numismatic silver coinage, even potentially foreign silver coinage. This means you would have to either hide it and can't use it, melt and convert into a legally tradable object like the old folks did with gold rings out of old gold coins, or make into jewelry form potentially like a coin capsule on a chain or a beltbuckle with silver coins in it. This can bypass some of the junk/constitutional silver, but I don't think you can walk around with a 100 oz bar as a belt buckle and get away with it, same for 10 oz and kilo bullion, possible for 5oz, 100 gram, and 1 oz bars/rounds if it's decorative enough, but that might be decided on a glowie by angry glowie basis. I will also add in the chance you wish to sell for usd or convert into gold during a low silver to gold ratio then it's wise to remain under 10k usd reporting that occurs, as you don't want your address and asset list in a databank that can be scraped and sold to a professional thief, just saying.

Vid related is what I am wearing right now and I got it for melt value and it has 3oz of 18k with movement and strap removed and 2 carats of diamonds in the bezel.

More fun than coins and bars and I actually traded gold coins + cash for this and another watch.

At the end of the day - gold is gold. If my country goes through hyper inflation I will take these watches to the scrap shop and cash them in same as if they were coins and bars.

I've got cheap gold jewelry on ebay, from classifieds, and even from bullion dealers when asking what they've got in the melt bin. even bullion dealers make pricing errors sometimes and sell stuff cheap (like those two watches I showed above -- the diamond one I still believe is worth about $9000 USD rather than the $4500USD that I paid).

What do you mean by "right"? That aside, it should be a fine silver (99.9% or finer) bar. After that, it's a matter of provenance and taste. There are some brands that cost more because of reputation, (Englehard, JMatthey) or some highly polished bars (Germania). Kids here really like Asahi (for no particular reason I can discern). I prefer coin bars (those gov't-issued with a face value stamped), especially if they have a nice design (such as the St. Helena ship bars).

If it's a coin and has that stamp, that adds a level of authenticity and might carry an extra premium (price above spot value).

Generally speaking, the larger the bar the less (percent) you'll pay in premium.

You should be able to. Try a coin shop. Many jewelers do too, but my experience they're always marked up much more.

Check the OP post for recommended dealers. I was assuming you literally wanted to walk into a shop. For lowest prices on generic bars, I'd say MonumentMetals or SDBullion or LibertyCoin. Keep in mind they have a minimum for free shipping (usually $200), and it's cheaper if you pay by check (but slow - you have to send a check, it has to clear, then it's shipped), ACH (electronic check - faster because you're not sending a check via snail mail), or ecoin (fast I guess, but a little pricier), or credit card/PayPal (fastest, most expensive).

Storage: depends where/how you live. If you have roommates (at uni/college), store it at home. If you think tarnish is ugly, keep it wrapped air tight (that's why all the plastic in my first pic). As you collect more, storage may become an issue.
