Stop doing business with restaurants. Some industries are making enormously bad decisions and they need to go under. This includes fast food places pricing their meals like they are gourmet food. Stop playing the game. If food at the grocery store goes up because that's where everyone starts going, so be it, not long after the killing starts and the whole thing resets again.

The rise in tip weighted service is why I'm going to stop ordering take out once my kitchen is fixed. If I don't tip at least 18% the food comes out awful, and even when I tip that much it still is not a guarantee. I'd rather the restaurant charge more and say "no tipping" than have to figure out this song and dance. The stuff I cook tastes way better anyways.
