>$100k/year accounting cuck
>live in suburbs of major city
>houses $350-400k
>need a raise to $130-140k to comfortably afford a house
>$130-140k jobs = higher end of what manager roles pay
>manager roles = 3-5 direct reports, very stressful, long hours

this is all so ridiculous, especially when accounting is a """highly paid""" profession.

$200k tax professional here. Good houses in the area run $750k - $1M. A few years ago these houses were like $550k so I thought I had time.

Now $500k gets you an absolute dumpster that needs a few hundred k of work.

I keep throwing money in crypto but it's probably over. Stocks are back near all time highs which makes no sense to go in heavy now.

All this US "freedom" sure is exhausting

>3-4x annual gross wages
many such cases. honestly considering going back to school to be a nurse practitioner and fucking off back to my opioid dump of a hometown. at least i can afford a house there on a paltry $100k/year salary.

Stocks hit all time highs an average of 21 times a year, doesn’t really mean anything. Almost 10% of all trading days involve stocks hitting an all time high. And we haven’t even hit it in a while now, been almost 2 years since we were at 4800 in the S&P

NP's do pretty well but imo your ceiling is higher if you stick in accounting. Of course you'll be miserable because it sucks, but NP's are pretty damn stressed and overworked too so I don't know

If you can find a remote actg job it's at least tolerable half the time. Boring as hell though

yeah I'm just saying for guys like myself and OP, we need big time gains to get the life we want. So I'm just not seeing a ton of undervalued plays in stocks. I need my investments to go like 5x+ so I basically just focus on crypto. I don't have time to watch tickers all day so stock options are out

my job is fully remote but my big jewish employer wrapped up a mass layoffs literally yesterday. i survived but i have no confidence in this job lasting long term, or any remote accounting job for that matter. competition for remote accounting jobs has also increased 100x since i last applied for remote jobs.

Yeah I'm also in this boat but for IT. I work remote though and am thinking Im just gonna move to the midwest. I just worry that the remote rug will be pulled from me and Ill be stuck in a place in the middle of nowhere with no jobs.

You need to find a roastie wageslave wife and you can each make half that to buy a house. That's how it is now. Boomers mortgaged our futures to pay for their decadent lifestyle.

>I just worry that the remote rug will be pulled from me and Ill be stuck in a place in the middle of nowhere with no jobs.

that's exactly what will happen. go ahead and try applying to remote jobs right now, even if you don't want a new job. the competition is insane now that 90% of all jewish employers are returning to the wage cage on a hybrid basis.

my gf makes $40k a year. relying on 2 incomes to afford a home seems like an absolutely terrible idea.

Oh yeah Im always applying just in case and the competition for remote jobs is nuts. Its funny because decent looking hybrid or in office jobs are getting like 1/20th the applications remote jobs are. Youd think employers would realize what the market wants but then again employers are fucking idiots.

i'm now seeing literal CFO level jobs (posted by recruiters) that demand 5 days in office. imagine being at the highest possible level in your profession and still being asked to wage in the cage 5 days a week like a fucking walmart employee lmao.

I just got the remote work rug pull, except didn't completely relocate because the whole time I was working I genuinely couldn't believe this was something that would last beyond my 20s. Maybe I will find something else again one day but am currently interviewing for hybrid roles since that's all I can find in a timely manner.

Launder money for criminals. I went to rehab and met a bunch of criminals, started laundering money for them. Bought a house and new luxury car within 2 years. It’s easy as fuck to do and you wont get caught unless youre dumb as fuck.

>> No.55929331

Don't forget - you need to consistently make at least that amount of money for the next 30 years.
Godspeed anon

In IT it seems like employers know that senior level people are never coming back. All the remote positions I see are for senior level employees. Being mid level career is the worst, making too much money to leave but not enough seniority to tell people to fuck off.
