Swiss here. My cousin (female) is a farmer, but she's already taken. There are some but you have to speak their local language if you want to marry them. And that's the only way for you to get a farm, as swiss laws only allows registered farmers to buy those lands. prices are not that bad if you choose to go somewhere really lost.

Nah dude, not all of them are like that. You can meet them at annual events, which are held throughout the canton at a different place (usually some lost village) every two years. Those are huge parties organized in some field and you get to meet the local young farmers, which is akin to those redneck gathering (but less degenerate). I knew one who got to manage a whole free land chicken for eggs production and acres of cereals. she took me for a ride in one of those combine harvester. We were 20 at that time shit was so cash. I was really impressed she could drive those giant machine. Those are easy going girls with no superficial bullshit. They're happy to see you interested in their daily live.
