someone explain this to me like I'm 5, what is this grayscale chainlink turst, or is it just one share with like 4-5links each?

>> No.57115287

>>57114993
Each share is actually slightly less than one whole Link; 0.93 link per share.

Where can I buy LINK and BTC? Right now I only use Charles Shwab and eTrade

>> No.57115354

2,000 shares traded at 72 = daily volume of $144,000

"institutions" lol

Institutional investors can't just buy ERC20 shitcoins, so they need a product like GLNK which holds the token for them and which they can buy on a stock exchange or OTC. So until either LINK becomes feasible for the big bois to hold or LINK ETFs become available, GLNK will poompa and linkies will seethe and dial8.

Because they're an asset manager that buys crypto, boomers unironically would rather buy crypto through a trust than the actual tokens themselves. It's why the btc etf is so important.

There's a pretty substantial demand for this Grayscale Link, since it's the only way to officially invest in Chainlink with full regulatory compliance, since GLNK is registered as securities, they're literally shares.
And since supply of Grayscale Link shares is so paltry, the price just shoots up.

This.
They can buy them for purely functional purposes all they want, but not for investing.

>> No.57115544

can anyone here point to 1 institutional 13f filing showing they bought this

The fact that the share price equivalent of one Link token is like 4-5x higher than market price.

I’m not sure about anything but what I do know is boomers are simply so fucking stubborn they would actually pay more for “safe and secure crypto”. They think of the whole thing as a gamble, which any stock is, but one where as soon as you put money in, it goes poof. Getting around that stubborn concept there’s so much money to be made off boomers and plenty love to spend it.
