Yup I learned this in 2017-2019. I'm a millionaire now but I've probably lost 8+ BTC from overtrading in my early days. Buy regularly and then hold. It's literally that easy.

You can try but then you run into the issues of taxes and the price continuing to run up while you sit on the sidelines with your cash. I invest with the expectation that crypto will go up over time. The only reasons I sell are for major life expenses (like buying my house) or for when the price hits my "make it" target.

there's basically no reason to sell your bitcoin unless you trade it for something very worthwhile you really want, like that villa or homestead, or that nice supercar of a few million. btc is not for small amounts. a few cycles later it will be used to settle millions at minimum.
