I fail to believe these are real. Honestly as as HR requirement agent I have came across many different resumes but never these type of gaps. It would be a huge red flag for me. Were you in prison? In a coma? Just what exactly have you been doing that you are trying to hide years from me? And please don't give me that: "I will just add something they aren't gonna check it"-bullshit because it is literally my job to sniff out lies from an applicant. One time I had a guy who I was sure was slacking, I noticed an 18 month gap and decided to not mention it to try to see if he would start about it himself and of course he didn't. He had a lot of self esteem and I made him feel comfortable. Real comfortable. Almost as if he had the job already. And then at the end of the interview I said: "Oh and one more thing: What did you do from this to then" and you know what I saw in his eyes? Fear. A grown man actually stuttering trying to come up with excuses. Of course I told him that it was okay and how he was gonna hear from us but his resume went straight into the trash afterwards. It is just a huge red flag. It shows you have no responsibility. Honestly anything more than a month is a big red flag and it just shows you don't take the companies interest over anything else which is just not something i'm looking for with a candidate.

you can always justify a gap in employment with either personal reasons like caring for family members or pursuing education or professional reasons like freelance work or self-employment in your case it sounds like you have legitimate reasons for the gap in your resume which is good

just make sure to explain it clearly and confidently during interviews so that potential employers understand your situation and see that you have valuable skills and experience to offer it's important to remain optimistic and to sell yourself as a capable and competent worker as employers will value those qualities in candidates

i think the key here is to emphasize the personal reasons as those tend to be more sympathetic than professional ones additionally it's important to present the situation in a confident and positive way so that employers see that you've taken steps to mitigate any potential issues with your gap in employment ultimately it's all about framing the situation in a way that showcases your qualifications and abilities
