What will newfags do when they realize the halving is a dump the news event?

When will newfags realize that BTC follows the equity markets, if there's a macro crash bitcoin wont pump worth shit.

>> No.57466002

Always wondered why it does that

Is it because some miners know they’re not going to be profitable in the next cycle on a month to month basis so they dump everything to exit the market completely?

So it’s sort of a partly a self fulfilling cycle but also based on reality of not everyone being able to afford to run at break even or medium term loss?

They get their cashflows cut in half. That is what the halving does. This forces them to gamble: Sell now while hyped noobs kept the price up, or potentially face bankruptcy. Imagine Powell is lying again and there is a recession after they get their income halved, and their BTC bags dumped, while you are in debt in the middle of expanding your business. Of course many will just not take that gamble and dump on the public. You just need a small impulse and the rest will dump due sell the news mentality. Also less hashrate = less secure network = less valuable network even if tards want to argue this.

This feels like a big risk to me. Not the fake and gay "carbon expenditure" of bitcoin mining, but the fact that the "muh green energy" movement has made energy much more expensive. Bitcoin would be almost free to process transactions if we reduced "non-green" carbon regulations, or more importantly, invested in nuclear power.

yeah but for 99.999% of people who cant predict what macro will do (thats you), its best to assume the market keeps trending while hedging tail risk

You fucking newfags are betting on Powell delivering a soft landing (this time is true) not ruining your bullrun. Good luck with that.

So basically, miners don't know about the halving and the economic consequences and would rather dump before than sell as little as possible and instead sell half a year later?
Anon, I...
