>account is for a startup I work with (fantasy stock market, can explain the concept if you'd like, but not giving out the name)
>posted a meme about NVIDIA yesterday
>nearly 1 million views so far across several posts
>followed up with several more
>~50k total views across those 4 in aggregate
>VERY high engagement (most are photo slideshows, 60-80% of viewers swipe to the end)
>incredibly high engagement rate elsewhere
>surprisingly low traffic on our site
>realized early on today that our link (to our site) was flagged as "dangerous" so I switched to a linktree link to remove that warning
>linktree has only seen about 6800 views from the nearly 440k views across our videos today
>only about 1100 signups total

That conversion rate seems incredibly low. Any ideas?

Most have an average watch time of 15-20s, which is incredible for tiktok. But yeah I did expect a lower conversion rate as opposed to say YouTube or Twitter.

look, tiktok is for the new generation. they don't want to watch ads or fall for your advertisement. if you wanna make money in advertising target rich old dumb boomers. they click and sign up and do those kinds of things. not the young folk. tiktok is a not the right place for that
