I first found out about bitcoin when my friend showed me silk road in 2012. Bitcoin was being actually used as a means of exchange even then. I have paid for podcast subscriptions, bought a pair of cuff links, and paid a kid to mow my lawn in bitcoin, all before 2014. I'd do it again, using the fedbuxx I would have spent to buy the bitcoin back.

>5 billion Paolo casino coins minted in one week... That is totally normal, yeah. Since last October, 20 more billion are out. This money printing scheme has moved bitcoin from 29k to 69k.

For how long will Paolo be able to keep the 1$ peg going? Every time he prints another couple billion its USD reserves are becoming lower compared to the total coins in circulation. We can see the increasing price manipulations are becoming harder to achieve.

>What Paolo is doing is not very different to what Argentina did in the 90s and everyone knows how it ended up.

They're definitely saying we got lucky. They're going to keep saying this through the entire bullrun, and then they're going to giggle and shart themselves with delight when Bitcoin plummets to the unthinkably low floor of 57k.

It will never come up that this price was unthinkably high just a few years ago. They will continue to repeat this cycle after cycle. Their fiat currency will continue to move toward zero as it has done at all points since its adoption.

They will cope by saying they're a better person than you.

Median of Exchange is a trivial use of money as transactional use carries little term risk, see: fiat value versus gold, BTC, equities. The chunky part of Money is the Store of Value, Unit of Account demand, as these demands can't be met by anything but an abstraction like money. BTC is a quantum leap in these properties of money, fixed in supply, stateless, trustless, transparent ledger etc etc. Compared to gold, with it's infinite supply and 2% inflation, or equities with their enterprise risk and unlimited supply, bitcoin is unmatched

In all fairness, I think a lot of the crypto crap out there is fucking stupid and/or scammy. Bitcoin is a neat idea that has a very narrow application, and as it's become clearer and clearer that its scarcity is more valuable than its utility as money we see, like, Monero come in and try to be the cash thing.

Aside from BTC and XMR (maybe SOL? maybe?) I don't actually think too much of the crypto industry is useful or viable.

That being said, the use crypto does have, as a P2P workaround to foil banks, is incredibly invaluable and amazing and I like it a lot. But that's a reason why I fucking hate shit like NFT's.

the etf was supposed to be a way for technically illiterate boomers to buy bitcoin and create a supply shock.

so, you're actually totally wrong, but you're too retarded to understand.
if in-kind redemption was actually going to create some new demand, the price would've rocketed on approval.
instead this is the widening cycle theory, where there's less and less interesting ATH's and more frontrunning, leading to longer more efficient cycles.
