They are what I'd consider 'tied' tokens: the marketing teams for KNS and AVI have already collaborated together on a Q&A and it's likely they'll collaborate together in the future. In addition to this, the holders of AVI and the holders of KNS tend to coincide. Look at any portfolio thread on /biz/, and where you see AVI tokens held you'll usually also see KNS. As a result, when one pumps it usually follows the other will pump shortly thereafter.

Another example of a 'tied' token is just eth vs btc, or the group of 'main' doge/shib tokens. When one changes so does the other in a similar fashion, though sometimes with a delay. Kind of a bad example since there's no marketing collaboration but you get the idea.
