The easiest way to spot poor people is when they do now know that ETH gas costs do not increase with amount sent, but believe it's actually a percentage of the amount.

Last time I bought 20k worth of stocks, my bank charged me 80$ transfer costs including tax. And that's the cheapest online bank in my entire country; the big ones charge you hundreds of bucks for this.

Base L2 solves this with average fees of a few cent to send eth to a base wallet from coinbase. Nobody fucking uses it tho, coinbase made it, then forgot to promote it.

you have to stop being retarded and use a L2. dencun only makes L2s cheaper, and not all of them on day 1. some of them won't even utilize it until may

i know you're memeing, but isn't it unironically hilarious to think there's normalfags who believe L1 is meant for grocery shopping in 2019+5?

reason enough to stay away from eth, every move you make there cost more than the move itself. At lease eesee or btc doesnt have stupid fees like that.

>> No.57991087

>>57988487
so in plain human, eth is for people with money and designed with large values in mind. fuck the poor innit?

cuz crypto is ran by communities who gatekeep shit like this to most users. Elitist attitude towards newcomers and normies is just toxic for us all and the market.

How safe is holding ETH in a L2, really?

>> No.57991346

their first wallet didn't default to arbitrum, their exchange withdrawal wizard didn't default to arbitrum, and their wallet address works on all networks. of course they're going to get confused.

I still have a chunk of my portfolio on L1, how safe is bridging it to L2 these days? In the past there were nightmare stories about how funds would just get stuck or bridges get hacked at inopportune moments.
