Overkill example since it's baroque and not medieval but the example stands. This is what you would do. There's some youtube channels that have uploads from TV shows or interviews with folks that inherited these sort of estates in Ireland, England, and France, and it's an absolute nightmare with them trying actually generate profit. Lot's of castles out there probably have hotels that struggle to fill up their occupancy or little restaurants that struggle to get customers. Yeah anon lol don't get me wrong these houses aren't like your everyday, standard house, but you'd still be very surprised at how common they are still. Sometimes it'll be a little one lane gravel road off to the side of some cornfield, and after about half a mile it's like you've entered some kind of hidden part of the map, with astonishing properties and huge plots of land.
Some of them even have more than one house on their property.
The one with the soccer team that I mentioned has a 'guest house', with a heated 6 car garage. Nobody even uses it. Every time I have to clean that guest house, everything is exactly how I left it.

Seeing these spoiled brats has actually made me glad that I grew up poor, because at least I know how to do things.
