Pretty much, yes. The only problem is you will lose it all if you die. That's great because you can find items other people dropped in a dungeon, but if you fuck up too you're out of luck.

The one way to avoid this is the "Pep's Token." This is an item that will sacrifice itself to save your life when you die.
