Any exchange that offers Tether pairs instead of actual fiat is complicit in the scam.

Tether have two main utilities:

1. Makes you able to hedge your losses during a dip;

2. Since it's a cryptocoin, in most countries it's considered as a good, and not money, so when you trade with it, you're just switching goods and not making a sale, thus postponing your taxes to the moment you switch into fiat, and letting you invest your tax money to multiply it even further.
