Literally 1/3 of this board said it was going to 3k or 1k or zero, 1/3 of the board said it would head back to 20k, and 1/3 of the board said it would wobble around its current level forever.

Summary: nobody knows shit. Make your gambles and live with them.

remember when btc crashed to 6k and it was going up and down all the way down?
that's pretty much what you should expect, whether it goes up or down there's going to be retracing along the way

It's a bear market. The price wanders up from small purchases in a bear market because of the low trade volume. People who do want to buy are only buying a little and are stacking tiny buy orders over each other and people who want to sell are in no hurry to lose money so the sell orders don't restock as quickly. The end result is that the price wanders up. But the minute somebody sells 5-20 BTC all the gains will be lost because there isn't enough market volume to back it up.

Serious question OP. Is /biz/ your only source of information about the crypto market?

The major dumps were created by Mt Gox trustee selling to cover claims from investors (in fiat value). They will not be allowed to make a profit as the company was declared bankrupt. If they need to sell more they have to get court approval.

From the sales already performed, it is possible that all claimants can be paid out in fiat, which means that no more large sell orders will be precipitated by the trustee.

Further sales are unlikely. If they don't get the approval this is equivalent to all the coins being burned. In addition to this the market is prepared for a new dump, people will be ready to pick it up as they know if it "on sale". In addition any further sales would by OTC instead of via exchanges (that is they would be sold at a fixed price instead). Also, the market would be prepared for the next dump.

We knew all this two days ago. So why the fuck did you decide to sell?

It's going to sub 3k, be patient...the volume for the past few weeks/months indicates that. The traders pumping this coin can't keep up.

the creditors were solvent a week ago when the news was released.

Since then, the trustee cunt has still made activity transferring funds from his wallet to the bittrex wallet.

Who knows what he's been directed to do by the courts, but if he has to all clear to sell everything, we're not going to told about it and we wont know until the dumps occured.

Hence, im staying out of btc until it hits 6k again.

Why would you sell after three days of red? Even in the worst of bear markets when you're 100% sure the crash will continue a bounce was all but guaranteed
