i actually downloaded the mining software back in 2010, and could mine like 50 a day or something on a semi-decent pc, but i couldn't get it to work, said fuck it and played woltk instead

I couldnt get mining to work back in 2009-10, but i did figure out people were selling them in the IRC i was in, paypal was the prefered method.

Only problem was when i asked for help my dad he just lost his shit and just beat the shit out of me and partially blinded me. Did not touch anything investing until 2017, so first time in 8 years, finally.

I tried to get into mining in 2011, downloaded the software, mined a bit and got like 0.05 btc. I only had one PC for work so I didnt want to keep using it to mine. I had a set of websites and put up a browser miner on it earning .01/day, the site shut down after awhile and I never got paid.

I bought a handful of coins at $10/each from people on bitcointalk. Couldnt find anymore sellers as the price was moving around a lot and everyone was waiting to see what would happen. I wanted to buy more but was nervous about using my account on mt gox. Back then things were a lot different, its arguably a ton easier/safer to buy coins nowadays.

When coinbase came out I setup automatic buying of like $100/mo, this lasted a couple months and then they banned my account from buying and have never responded to my tickets beyond 'we're looking into it'. There was some mobile exploit involving API keys and my account got emptied of like $20 usd worth of coins which I guess was why they effectively banned me even tho a lot of people were effected. Was only able to start buying coins again when Circle came out with the option, and then they removed it and I had to move to Gemini.

I probably made $50k profit off crypto, should have been a lot more but thats how it goes.
