To make it you want the following imo:
House owned, maybe rental properties
Spending money slush fund
Enough invested in normie shit for passive income
Enough to start at least one business in an industry you care about

That doesn't even begin to cover whores, holidays and political donations.

Re-assess your definitions of making it or your link money will run out really quickly.

Not larping. I've mentioned it here in the past and every always calls me a larping faggot.
I was told that information by a friend who's in the music industry, his manager and this other whale manager are wealthy as hell.
They pay people to invest their money for them, and they had a tip-off from other music industry people who, to my understanding, are more successful than them, that chainlink is the next Bitcoin.

(my friend told me this info back in Early Nov '17)

So these managers paid someone to setup all the wallets and threw £250k at Link.

As for >>8946001
again to my understanding, these 'big industry people' have no clue about crypto, they just have a lot of money and are looking to make even more. I don't think there was any impetus for them to buy chainlink because it could change their industry or whatever. They just told the people who manage their money to invest a shed load into link based on something they heard.

that's all I know and all I can say without putting my friend in shit with his peers.
I'll ask him for more details next time I see him, but I think that's pretty much the gist of what happened.

Link could be worth over $10 but not for a few years. It will take time to build the network out. Just don't sell your stack during the bull runs. There will be multiple consolidation periods. Try to keep in mind the potential partnerships that haven't even really been discussed, such as facebook(Chief Engineer at Facebook is an advisor). Chainlink would be the perfect protocol for allowing social media users to control their own data revenues. This is probably bigger than any of us can really imagine right now, even those of us who are super bullish will be blown away in the years to come by everything that emerges from smart contracts and the API economy. If you have the imagination to see all of the possibilities this is an amazing time to start a business revolving around API economies and smart contracts. We are unironically early investors in a new economic paradigm, where automation and data take the center stage.
