No, it's just you're stupid. Before the fall of 2017 there was no real money on the market. People just traded what they mined, plus some pocket change from few nerds. Then billions of fiat poured into it, which caused massive price spike. That happened for the first time, because bitcoin finally left specialized finance sections of online magazines and landed in regular mainstream news. It's still there, but only as a joking material.
