I am becoming increasingly suspicious that I have died and am trapped in some sort of kafkaesque hell where I will file these stupid reports eternally. How do I get my supervisor's attention without getting fired? I'm getting worried that HR has forgotten I am an employee.

I work in a niche engineering field and came into work after a 3 day meth binge, probably hungover after all the vodka I drank to finally get sleep the night before.

Clear something is wrong with me.

Talk to my manager, tell him I don't feel well and am taking the day off.

Go get a massage and pass out.

Next day, make a mistake that costs $140,000 to fix.

End of year get a pay raise and a bonus.

Now I'm known as "the guy who made the $140,000 mistake". Everyone loves me and my last project manager told me I have a very bright future within the company.
