Can we have a serious discussion on this thing please? Is this a potential top 100 coin over the medium term or another useless shitcoin? Btc and eth are dinosaurs and real world adoption is struggling due to numerous factors. What is the use of combining two dinosaurs to compete with the likes of ADA and EOS? No 0xbch comments as thats a blatant scam

It's a fun little idea but is already pumped about 1000x for the OG miners. Probably one of the most stupidly risky plays in crypto right now.

It mooned due to anticipation over mercatox, idex, and the CMC listing. They've all happened now and it will go the way of ORI

I think you have a better chance of winning the lottery than this ever being a competitor to btc. It’s potential really hinges on the Eth network and whether or not dapps become as popular as people seem predict. Even then some of these dapps would still have to incorporate 0xbtc into their purpose. If this were to happen I do think it would become a very popular token but it’s really a shot in the dark.

I doubt whether it will topple BTC or Eth even though that’d be great because it combines the best of both, but I do think the price is going to blow up.

What is interesting is the rate at which token holders are growing- its up around 700 new token holders since last week and even 100 in the last 36 hours....

It is mined, then minted. Faggot. (Then dumped)

For example - I solo mined 28,000 0xBCH a few days ago. Then I dumped it on the market. Way - WAY more profitable than mining anything on WhatToMine. That ship has sailed as the block value has fallen to $2 and the difficulty is high. The pool owners will end up being the biggest bag holders for these shit coins.

If you seriously need to ask that question you aren't going to make it. Really. What's the purpose of mining anon? Hint: it's NOT just issuing some coins, you could simulate mining reward or staking with a random lottery. So, since the ONLY purpose of 0xBtc mining is coin minting, what are you missing? And what does that say for the future price?

Literal brainlet here. I dont follow? The purpose of the mining is to verify the transactions have happened in a decentralized and trust-less fashion. What am i missing? and what do you mean for future price?

>> No.9887742

>>9887687
The mining you do for 0xbtc does not process the transactions. It’s built onto the Eth network in smart contracts so the Eth miners are processing the tax. I’m on the fence when it comes to the fake mining argument. I can see why people discredit 0xbtc since the mining is only an attempt at fair distribution but I think the concept behind it does have potential. Like every other fucking crypto out there it will come down to adoption so only time will tell.

>> No.9887840

>>9887742
This desu.
0xBTC does have a novel way of distributing tokens fairly by doing a kind of retro tribute to Bitcoin mining, but it's important to realize that tribute is nothing more than a mining *game* in a smart contract - It does not actually produce anything of value for the network.

They could have done the same fair distribution by having a lottery game and *not* branding it as Bitcoin-like mining, and it would have an equivalent result.

Not saying any of this is bad or good, but it's important to manage our expectations and see things for what they are.

>It does not actually produce anything of value for the network
But neither does normal BTC mining in that case? All they are doing is verifying transactions in the hope of collecting the fee and a couple of coins if they solve the block. How is it any different for 0xbtc? Again, literal brainlet. Deciding if i want in on this thing or not.
