Out of all these books the Philosophy of the Encounter is the closest to my actual belief system, there is almost nothing of substance I disagree with in there. This list is hardly exhaustive, but it's more the foundational things. There are several thinkers that are more contemporary who I think are fantastic, like Mark Fisher, Slavoj Zizek, Richard Wolff, and Jodi Dean.
