Lolita - A History

If you had to pick the top 10~15 most influential or noteworthy lolitas in the history of Lolita Fashion, who would they be and why? And I'm not talking about just regular ol' popular or efamous lolitas, but those who had a purpose in the creation, proliferation, and cultural growth of the fashion.

For example, obvious choices would be:

Mana for his work with conceptualizing Gothic Lolita.

Misako for her work as 'the' lolita model since the very beginning.

Maki and Asuka - Angelic Pretty's designers and staff members, and frequent party members.

But who else. How did we go from the outcast shadows of Japan to become such a global community?
