The last panel of that comic makes me laugh, because someone I follow just reblogged this, and it's like, if I'm having to worry about you thinking you're somehow more ~socially aware than me because you suddenly decided all jokes are offensive and unfunny unless they're about white cis hetero males or privileged white girls, then yeah, you've become a boring loser with no sense of humour.

Honestly, I think it might even be a little more offensive to assume someone goes by different pronouns. If someone is presenting themselves as clearly female, and you go up to them and ask, "Do you identify as male or female, or do you not go by either?" That's going to be incredibly rude to someone that isn't versed in Tumblr mentality. Hell, they could actually BE a biological male that is transitioning or w/e, and you put them on the spot questioning their gender like that. It just seems like a personal question, and it's invasive to just up and ask about it.
Tbh, I think Tumblr fetishizes people that are out of the 'gender binary,' with how quick they are to assume everyone is some kind of agenderfluidqueer creature, when it's not nearly as common as they make it out to be.
