Going to be dying my hair soon but I wash my hair every three days, which I know isn't a good idea if I want to keep the colour. Are there any seagull-friendly guides around on how to build your hair up to a process where you wash your hair once a week?

For reference I use Aussie's three step Miracle Moist, although I am obviously aware I'll have to switch to a colour shampoo once I eventually do dye it. Last washed my hair on Sunday night and tonight, Wednesday, it's looking pretty lank.
