Its higher than my natural waist, yes. I'm 5'5" (hence opting for the long version!)
The arm holes are higher than usual but not cutting into me.

But nice idea about the straps! There's a heap of room left where I can add two or three more buttons so maybe this won't be so bad after all! I've been worried I'd have to sell it.

Now I'm praying this will fix my kinda weird bust issue, pic related. Or am I being too fussy over it I don't know. It can be covered with a cardigan and all but for the days its too warm I may as well find a better fit dress.
