I’ve noticed that nobody is as willing to share cosplay advice as they did before. Even 3-4 years ago, if you approached someone and asked them politely, many people were happy to divulge the details of their cosplay, where they sourced their materials, what techniques they used, etc., but now people either hide that info behind paywalls or straight up won’t release that information at all.
While no one is entitled to that information, it’s sad to see the community close itself off like this. Yes, people are entitled to keep that information private since they spend time and money finding good materials or developing techniques, but talking about that stuff was once such a big part of the community and now that’s all been shut down.
