A wire mounted on your shoulder would probably be best, since it's a little flexible there's more give when walking/running/etc. This kind of hinges on keeping it light, but if you make the big block part of the pod out of light foam it shouldn't be an issue.
Would look something like pic related - don't stress too much about it being invisible or clear, it staying up while you walk around will be impressive enough and people will obviously understand it's impossible to "really" float.
