>Just went to a con with a small group
>One of the girls and I are about the same weight, I consider myself a borderline fatty/fatty-chan, never have the confidence to wear certain things for cosplay
>Other girl has a lot more confidence, always wears sexier cosplays and gets a lot of compliments on her stuff/male attention
>Cue bad jealousy/depressive thoughts

I try to be positive about her stuff but I'm always so cynical about this shit. I just wish I didn't hate my body so much or worry about being called a fatty on an anonymous image board. It doesn't help that my bf was interested in her before we started dating, and she told me a story that made me paranoid that I was a rebound girlfriend. Two years later and I still get scared about it.

>Meet new friend in 8th grade, we'll call her Rin
>I had a lot of friendship issues between 7th and 8th grade due to newly struggling with depression/anxiety, current friends at the time made me the "joke friend"
>Meet Rin, who was all around nicer and was also into weeby things so that was a plus
>Hit it off and we're really close friends from then through high school
>Rin started coming to conventions with us and it became a regular thing
>She's become more of a tumblrite recently, deep into the SU fandom and a sort of well known artist (Mostly for drawing porn)
>Low-key insulted me at one point for going to art school and how "she didn't really need it"
>At convention last year she was all around shitty to deal with
>Acted like shit about everyone else's fandoms/merch but wouldn't shut the fuck up about the drawings she got from the AA
>Have one really enthusiastic friend we'll call Judy, I've known since 6th grade and she's one of the most kind hearted people I've ever met
>Judy usually gets balls-deep into fandoms, excitedly talks to us about it and shows us a lot of stuff from said fandom
>I've never minded but Rin acts like it's the biggest deal, she's being "forced" into it etc
>On the car ride home from the con Judy was talking to me about Gangsta and how she personally connected with it because the protag is deaf and she's deaf as well
>Rin texts me saying "I'm so sorry" as if I'm being tortured or something
>During the con Rin blows us all off to go hang with her tumblr artist friend
>Essentially just shows up to crash in our room
>Does a "simplified au" cosplay because she apparently didn't have the money to finish the costume even though she blew a ton of money on merch of whatever fandom she was into at the time
>Is coming to stay with us again and bringing her new gf with, and they're in the honeymoon phase
>Don't want her to come, but the room is super fucking expensive so have to grin and bear it
