Would it kill con artists to smile (or at least have a pleasant neutral expression)? When I get a dead/mildly sour expression and silence in reply to me politely asking to buy something, it makes me want to take my money elsewhere. I’d understand the reaction if I were an obvious creeper with bad hygiene, but a small normie-looking girl like myself has never triggered that kind of reaction.

On that note, has anyone had a bad con experience because they dress/look like a normie? I don’t like to catch attention so I dress non-nerdy.
