The style of the dress is very simple compared to cuts of more recent dresses. AP prints now are larger scale and have higher contrast, which has its pros and cons. Sugary Carnival is famous for being super washed out "pastel vomit" (personally I think jewelry jelly and dreamy dollhouse are more guilty of that)

Despite looking old fashioned it's still loved and worn often by western and japanese lolita. compared to other older prints I collect images for, sugary carnival still gets worn the most.
