What the actual fuck is this thread. I came here to see what cons were like in Victoria since I only moved here this year and all I find is non-stop bitching and people throwing shit at one another like some tumblr cat fight.

I thought this was supposed to be a place to discuss costumes and cosplays? Not throwing out names and dehumanising people. This whole thread is a fucking wreck, there's maybe 10-15 posts that are actually on topic and not just fighting.

If this is how things usually are, any idea where I can go to actually get some meaningful conversation about aussie cosplaying? Otherwise i'm doomed to this shit and it doesn't look like i'll be staying long...

I'm loving it here and socializing all the time with others, but leaving behind everything still hurts, even with new friends here.
