I'm one of the AYRT, and to be honest, I've been living in old school Lolita nostalgia lately too.

Something really bad happened to me almost right after I first discovered Lolita, so the fashion and the subculture was a candle in the dark for me (I know it's pretty cliché). I came home from school and would buzz through EGL and pour over dreamy photoshoots and lifestyle blogs and check BABY. I was already a day-dreamer with an interest in many Lolita-appropriate things, so it felt like I finally found where I belonged. I told myself that one day I would wear Lolita all the time and live focused on positivity and finding beauty in life.

Of course, 8 years later and I'm still not there yet. Life's been tough. So far I still only have a few Bodyline dresses and I hardly ever wear them. But I still find hope in it (I just wish the fashion and culture hadn't changed so much from back then) and I want to work harder to finally do what I told myself I would. I'll get there one day soon.
