I don't think it's that they lack reading comprehension. I think what happens more is that an OP doesn't like the responses they're getting, so they'll try and backtrack and say "Oh god, you're so stupid, you didn't understand what I said at all" and try and act like there were layers of meaning we didn't get, when in reality, it was just some stupid/ignorant statement to begin with. Pic extremely related and not just for trolling.

You can't read tone on the internet. We can't read someone's mind, so if you don't say something outright in detail, there's no way for us to infer things. That's what I see a lot of. I see a statement or a partial statement and people get butthurt because someone "misunderstood" them, when really, you just didn't say the right thing to the extent you thought.
