Hey sorry if this was asked and answered in a prior thread or what not, I read the thread so I have a general idea but might just ask it out right.

Not new to NYC but first time attendee here, any words of advice for the con specifically? I get how NYC works but I've never been to ANYC so yeah sorry for the dumb question

Due to self-esteem issues I tend to dress like a slob. Oversized t shirts, old jeans, old sneakers. But I've always wanted to be feminine and cute and confident. So recently I purchased a few dresses and things to go with them ( a cute cardigan, tights, ect) and I'm nervously awaiting for everything to show up in the mail. I was inspired by casual j fashion looks and I'm hoping I can pull it off and feel better about myself.

What are some easy ways to generate traffic to your costume sites? Does consistently putting content out there eventually pay off?

Since we are on the subject of dupes I have a velour liquid lipstick coming in the mail and I'm super excited. I've heard jeffree's formula is better then limecrime with more product with a cheaper price tag. Is this true or are people just putting on rose colored glasses cuz they don't want to give doe anymore money after being a mega bitch? Has anyone tried the lipstick? Is it comparable to velvetines?

Where do you guys like to buy bras from? I would like to get some in my real size.

About 2 years ago I started getting patches of dandruff around my hair line and the back of my head. I have a shit ton of wavy/curly hair but the actual strands are very thin. I have used massaging oil onto my scalp and sleeping in it, head and shoulders, T/gel, almost everything you can think of. I wear mostly black so on some days this can be embarrassing. Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be that I'm not totally washing some kind of product out of my hair?

So I dunno if anyone remembers from the last thread but I tried placing an order for some IW reserve things a day after the reserve period ended. I'm kind of stuck in limbo now because the items have been released and I haven't received any response from them (likely due to the sale traffic) and I'm not sure if they would still take the order I placed then or if they'd cancel it and I'd have to try again. Emailing them would just clog their inbox even further. I think I won't try anything like this again in the future as I feel kind of silly now.

I ordered some stuff from the IW sale and I'm praying it's not all sold out before they invoice me. That happened during the last sale and I was so bummed.

I was painting a pair of shoes orange for a Tsuna cosplay and because I'm an impatient fucker I set the shoes under a really bright construction lamp (the kind you would see hanging from the ceilings in caves) so they would dry faster.

I had forgotten about them overnight and I woke up to find them with large brown burn marks on the heels and slightly melted plastic on the tounge.

I washed them and repainted them so it wasn't a big disaster, but I'm never doing that again.

It's a horror series.

I'm married and hubby and I don't have any kids yet. He's kind of gotten tired of anime conventions and I mostly go for work. Usually prefer the comic book or game conventions.

Part of me is "God it'd be so cute to do a family cosplay" but then part of me is "Got make sure the kid actually enjoys the con, is comfortable, and do I want to drag them around a convention center?"

Maternal instinct has to override the cute factor.
