I'm putting together a Peter B Parker outfit, for lazy con days when I don't want to wear something more complex. The mismatched shoes are a fun part of the look, but the problem is that Converses have low soles and boots have real thick ones, so I end up limping (or at least walking uncomfortably) from the imbalance.
How can I counter this? Make a 'platform' for the sneaker? buy some thrift-store boots and chop up the soles 'til they're thinner? Do they make work/hiking-style boots with thin soles?
