One lolita friend of mine has been late by a full hour for Every. Single. Appointment we've ever set up together. She always texts me "oh, I'll be 10 minutes late", then she texts 30 minutes, then she finally arrives an hour late. This is fucking irritating for me because I was raised to be punctual by one German parent (being punctual is just being 5 minutes early for everything).

I want to give her some leeway and sympathy, because she has several health and mental disorders for which she takes tons of meds, therapy, and surgery. But an hour late for everything? We live in the U.S., not goddamn Somalia.

I wanted to laugh when I invited her to an art exhibit viewing with a group of my friends, and she arrived just as we were leaving to go get dinner. Darling, why do you look so surprised that I choose to leave you and go out to eat with my punctual friends, instead of starving myself and guiding you through an art exhibit that I've already seen two times?

Other than her flaky nature, she's a sweet person. I don't plan to meet with her except over coffee. On weekends. When I have a long book to read.

I really don't know how people get involved in so much drama. It's very easy to lay low and become uninvolved with shit online if you're not fond of the potential shitstorms that could involve you on 4chan, tumblr, or btb.
I'm plus size and I thought I'd get a lot of shit at first just because of the things I read on 4chan, but I've never been bitched about once and I've only ever received compliments.
I don't make a lot of waves, don't have a lot of social media that links me to my real identity, and I keep most private stuff on my facebook with only a total of about 200 friends, maybe 30~40 of those being lolitas--and most I've met at least once irl. Suppose if my comm does get catty then it's very unnoticeable and short lived.

I don't feel very 'catty' tbqh. True sometimes I say on cgl what I can't say irl, but it never goes too far. Long, strung-out drama is boring and gets old anyway.
