/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

Anyone have any good links to sword/weapon painting tutorials? (or just making in general). I'm making 'Longclaw' from Game of Thrones for a friend's Jon Snow cosplay. Its my first time trying to make a sword, so any tips would be great. Tried looking around online a bit but most of the tuts I found either 1)looked like shit or 2) required heavier materials like wood/metal which would make the prop forbidden to bring into the con.
