I already did this, my family says they can't see anything wrong that I'm doing, and my friend wouldn't tell the truth even if there was something I was doing wrong (honestly could start venting about her right now but it's not cgl related). I am pretty shy, and I know that tends to make me nervous when I'm interacting with people I don't know well, and it tends to confuse non-shy people, so I don't doubt that part of it has something to do with me. It really sucks though because even though I am the kind of person who likes to have lots of time to myself I don't exactly want to wind up with no friends at all. And it's so hard for me to find people who have things in common with me in my area.

I don't know if you mean you feel guilty for being the dumper or the dumpee, but I feel guilty because I am convinced I must be the awkward-guy-nobody wants-around. And if you mean to say you are the dumper, as long as the person you're gonna dump is mentally sound enough to handle a normal adult conversation, it really is best to just be honest and let them know.

>Do you have an old school "crown jewel" of your wardrobe? If so, why that piece?
My wardrobe is 2007-2009, so it's not "true old school," and I currently don't own any major-name brand, so I don't really have any interesting jewels in the Lolita crown. Maybe one day I will. I'm currently going through a fashion identity crisis, but if I ever get over it and decide Lolita is still for me I'd like to start saving up for a couple real brand and older pieces.

More than likely, older Lolitas are wanting to relive the good old days and are nostalgic for the way things used to be. I don't think that many new Lolitas are very interested in learning about the history or wearing old school, but perhaps the simplicity of old school clothes might draw them in. I personally don't think it's making a true comeback at all, and I don't really see much interest in it, but I will be thrilled if it does end up coming back into popular demand.
